THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT? 3 OF 3

Here we go with Part Three, and the conclusion, of The Customer is Always Right.

Things escalate fairly quickly here, and not in a way that Abner and Virgil might expect.

Again, this is a little something I threw together for the Steeven Orr Else podcast. It’s actually an audio skit I had already written, performed, recorded, and put up on Episode 1 of Steeven Orr Else all the way back in February of 2020.

This, however, is a new version.

To make a long story short, I’m not happy with many of the Steeven Orr Else episodes and yet, I have this overwhelming urge to continue on with the podcast.

Well, the only way my brain is going to let that happen is to reboot the podcast for a third time. And so, with that in mind, I took a look at the opening sketch from Episode 1, rewrote it, added to it, made it longer, and then put it down on tape… well… digital tape.

Suffice it to say that once I had it done I realized it was actually a bit too long, and yet, it broke apart into three segments quite nicely. Which means that if I ever do decide to reboot Steeven Orr Else once again, this sketch will appear in it, but the three parts will be spaced throughout the episode, which I think will be a lot of fun.

Anyway, if I DON’T end up rebooting Steeven Orr Else, I want these out there somewhere, so I’m putting them up on the YouTube channel.

Anyway, once again, here's Part Three

Enjoy!

THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT? 2 OF 3

Here we go with Part Two of The Customer is Always Right, and it gets a bit dicey for Virgil and Abner as Chuck really opens up and confesses something really quite terrifying.

Again, this is a little something I threw together for the Steeven Orr Else podcast. It’s actually an audio skit I had already written, performed, recorded, and put up on Episode 1 of Steeven Orr Else all the way back in February of 2020.

THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT? 1 OF 3

VIDEO: THE INTRODUCTION

Back on June 25, 2020, I released a Bonus Episode of the Just Another Fanboy podcast in which I just uploaded a previous episode that had already been released a number of years earlier.

However, rather than just repost something I'd posted before, I wanted to give something new to everyone, even it if was only a few minutes of new, and so I put together THE INTRODUCTION.

I had the idea one morning as I was driving to work, and as I had arrived early, I performed the whole thing in my car, out in the parking lot, using my phone to record the whole thing.

Later that night, I put it all together and tacked it on to the beginning of the bonus episode.

It was, of course, audio, so I added a bit of video featuring tape recorders and such simply so that I could add it to the YouTube channel.

Enjoy!

VIDEO: NOISE CARNIVAL LIVE AT THE WALDO BAR - PART 1

This is the original line up of Noise Carnival performing live at the Waldo Bar in Kansas City, Missouri sometime in early 2000.

I have a warning in the opening of the video because the screen flips and skips and all that throughout the whole video. While this might not bother some, it could drive others a bit crazy.

There are some issues with the audio in parts of this video as well, especially the first part of the opening song, but, it was recorded originally on a camcorder from the early 90s.

Frankly, I'm not sure why I put it up except that it's the only copy we have.

Anyway, I remember that we weren't allowed to be too loud. I don't know if there was a noise ordinance in the area or not, but there are times where you can hear someone off camera telling us to turn down slightly and all that. I think the proprietor had a decibel meter or something.

This is Part One because we played for about 20 minutes, took a break, then came back and played for 20 or so more.

VIDEO: LARRY LIVE AT THE DAILY GRIND IN 1996

Here is the last show I played with Larry.

It was sometime in 1996 at The Daily Grind in KCMO, and the only thing I can remember from this show is Karl from Danger Bob telling me that he was gonna hate me forever for leaving the band.

Or maybe it was just that he thought it sucked.

Or maybe he just gave me general words of encouragement.

Or maybe he just said “hey” in passing.

I honestly have no memories that I’m confident are real of this night, though I’m pretty sure I talked to Karl at one point.

VIDEO: LARRY LIVE AT THE RHUMBA BOX IN 1994

This is the first show we played in the band, Larry.

March 4, 1994 at the Rhumba Box, an all ages club in Kansas City, Missouri that's no longer around.

I don't remember much from this show, but watching the video now gives me total high school gymnasium vibes.

Plus, what were we thinking when it came to camera placement? I mean, there's a freaking pole in front of the left hand side of the stage which hides both Jon (the bass player), and myself, for much of the show.

TRINITY-X LIVE AT THE SHADOW IN 1993

This is Trinity-X in 1993 performing live at the Shadow in Kansas City, Missouri, which closed down sometime later in the 90's.

Watching this back, it's amazing that, as loud as we were, we weren't loud enough to drown out the people talking to each other who were sitting around the camera.

You can find much of what we played that night on the major music streaming services such as:

VIDEO: NOISE CARNIVAL LIVE AT THE BOTTLENECK IN 2000

As I’ve stated already here on the site, I am slowly starting to digitize all of my old VHS tapes of the live shows we did in Larry and Trinity-X back in the 90s.

Today, however, I found one that’s not quite that old, but it’s still old.

So, here's Noise Carnival live at the Bottleneck from January 2000.

Unfortunately, the video didn’t make it through the years without having some issues, both with the audio and visual.

Anyway, I still had fun watching it.

You can find some of the songs we performed that night on 5 song EP, No Apologies, which we re-released under the Trinity-X band name.

No apologies is currently streaming on all the major music streaming services, such as:

VIDEO: LARRY LIVE AT THE BOTTLENECK IN 1995

I am slowly starting to digitize all of my old VHS tapes of the live shows we did in Larry and Trinity-X back in the 90s.

And by slowly, I mean I've done one show so far.

So, this is my old band, Larry, in 1995 performing live at the Bottleneck in Lawrence, Kansas for the KJHK Farmer's Ball Battle of the Bands.

And yeah, we dressed up as farmers because we thought it would be funny... because it was the Farmer's Ball... get it?

Anyway, you can find some of the songs we performed that night on the all new collection of Larry recordings called: All Inclusive, which you can find on all the major music streaming services, such as:

MUSIC VIDEO: PHILADELPHIA BY LARRY

Hey folks.

I went off and made another music video.

This video is to coincide with the release of All Inclusive by Larry launching on all the streaming platforms this week.

This is the video for Philadelphia, and I used videos taken from Canva (with the song, of course) and put it all together using iMovie on my iPhone.

You can watch the video above, or check it out on the all new Larry YouTube Channel. Just make sure, while you're there, to Like and SUBSRCIBE, and all that stuff.

You can find the audio version of Philadelphia on the new collection, All Inclusive, which you can find on all the major music streaming services such as:
